Krate is developed by Potato Apps.

Krate is designed to keep your grocery information private.
You do not need an account to use Krate. Your grocery lists, prices, budgets, reminders, barcodes, and shopping history are stored on your device. Potato Apps does not receive or have access to this information.
Krate does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking, and Potato Apps does not sell your information.
Krate stores the information needed for its features, such as your grocery items, quantities, prices, shopping trips, budgets, reminders, saved products, and app preferences.
This information stays inside Krate on your device unless you choose to share something yourself.
Krate does not currently provide its own cloud backup or synchronization. Android may back up eligible app data depending on your device and backup settings.
Krate only uses your camera when you choose “Scan barcode.”
Barcodes are read directly on your phone. Krate does not save or upload photos or videos from your camera.
Barcode scanning uses technology provided by Google. Google may receive limited technical information, such as device, app, performance, or error information, to keep the scanning technology working. Your camera images and barcode contents are not sent to Google for barcode recognition.

Krate only asks for notification permission when you choose to enable reminders.
Your reminder details stay on your device. Krate does not use notifications for advertising or unrelated messages.
When you choose “Send feedback,” Krate opens your email app with a message addressed to Potato Apps.
The message may include your Krate version, Android version, and device model to help identify technical problems. It does not automatically include your grocery lists, prices, budgets, reminders, barcodes, or shopping history.
Nothing is sent unless you review the email and choose to send it. If you send feedback, Potato Apps will receive the email address and information included in your message.
Krate’s information is protected by Android’s app storage and your device’s security features. We recommend using a screen lock and keeping your device updated.
No storage method can guarantee complete security, but Krate is designed to keep the information you enter on your device.
You can delete your information using “Delete all data” inside Krate. You can also clear Krate’s app storage or uninstall the app.
Android backups may retain or restore eligible app information depending on your device settings. You can manage these backups through your Android or Google backup settings.
Because Potato Apps does not receive your grocery information, there is no separate online account or server copy for us to delete.
If you previously sent us a feedback email, you may contact us to request deletion of that correspondence.
Krate is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children. Potato Apps does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Krate.
We may update this policy when Krate changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated whenever a new version is published.
If Krate introduces features that handle information differently, this policy will be updated before those features are released.
